Whether you're knee deep in the bay, cruising around town, or throwing back a cold one with friends, life is good down here in Rockport — and we know it. When you're ready to venture beyond your room and the outdoor kitchen, here's our guide to making the most of it.

On the Water

Start with our own thousand-foot pier — guests only, lit at night, and steps from your door. When you want to range farther, Aransas Bay is wade-fishing heaven for trout and redfish, and local guides run trips year-round; boats can even pick you up right at our pier. Kayak and paddleboard rentals are available nearby for exploring the shoreline at your own pace. Ask us and we'll point you to the right people.

On the Sand

Rockport Beach is one of the only Blue Wave-certified beaches in Texas — calm, clean, and family-friendly, with cabanas and shallow water along Little Bay. It's a five-minute drive from the Inn, and dogs are welcome on leash in designated areas.

Around Town

Rockport is a golf cart town — rent one and join the slow parade to the historic downtown art district, where galleries, shops, and patios line the streets. The Texas Maritime Museum and the Fulton Mansion, an 1870s Victorian marvel, are both worth an hour. And the food scene keeps getting better; ask at check-in (or text us) for our current favorites.

For the Birds

This stretch of coast is one of America's great birding destinations. Goose Island State Park is home to the Big Tree, a coastal live oak roughly a thousand years old, and the nearby Aransas National Wildlife Refuge hosts the world's last wild flock of whooping cranes each winter. Bring binoculars — even from our pier, the bird life is constant.

Back at the Inn

End the day where it started: grill dinner in the outdoor kitchen, queue up the room's Turtlebox speaker, and watch the bay go gold from the pier. That's coast life.
